Dear Diary,
Today, I got the best gift ever imaginable. For a long time, I've tried persuading my parents to allow me to have a pet dog but every time they refused. So, I no longer had my hopes high on ever getting a pet.
but that all changed this morning when my grandparents got me a really cute golden retriever puppy. I hadn't even remembered that it was my birthday so this was a complete shock but a good surprise. I don't know how they could persuade my parents but I am in awe owe of their considerate and thoughtful gesture. Now that I've got my wish, I will forever be grateful to both my grandparents and to my parents for such a wonderful gift.
