Mumbai Region Performance

  • The performance for the Mumbai region for the year ending 2019 April to March 2020 was robust
  • The overall sales rose by 36 per cent as compared to the previous year 2018-2019.
  • Individual performance product wise was also good. Sales for beauty products, personal care products and cleaning agents rose by 18, 19, 21  per cent respectively as compared to previous year.
  • We saw new consumer market segments for our beverage and food products mainly with the increase in consumption by millennial and youth.

Challenges

  • Thanks to its wide variety and large brand influence, ABCD's domination of the industry made it easier to increase the prices even as raw materials became less competitive. Margins have risen and business income may be obtained. However, higher profits in the sector of sales generated rivalry.
  • With XYZ Pvt Ltd, ABCD's main rival, gaining momentum in each of the businesses that ABCD has excelled so far, it is turning into a consumer monolith, and therefore, the greatest challenge to ABCD’s Business.

Opportunities
