Hello friends! I am Anita, the cultural secretary of our school.

I have noticed that the student participation is very low in  various extracurricular activity programs organized by the school.

We must participate in extracurricular studies e.g music, drama, music and personality development programs. There are many benefits of participating in such programs.They provide break from the study, especially for the senior students.

Depending on your interests they can provide chance to go outside and exercise your body or refresh your mind. They also limit your time in front of computer or tv. They also help to build various skills outside of the classroom e.g debating, public speaking. It would help you to improve time management skills while finding an area that you enjoy and would boost self confidence.

Although you all get to do something different through elective courses, extracurricular activities can help to explore an interest in depth than what is covered in class or maybe you can find a completely new interest that you wouldn't have been exposed otherwise.

Participating in community service programs would broaden your perspective. Above all you get chance to work with a team or group in various extracurricular activities it allows you to interact with people having similar interests and build friendships outside your circle.  

These are just few benefits that you can reap if you participate in extracurricular activities so i hope that you would have realized the importance of extracurricular activities for students and i expect that all of you would participate in one extracurricular activity.
