Dear Diary,
Today at last I am here, at my friend’s small village- Vaada. It is near Nasik, Maharashtra.
I am enjoying cool weather here which I miss in city. I strolled around the village with my friend. How lovely paddy fields are here! Farmers were working in fields. Cattles were grazing near fields. I just couldn’t take my eyes off seeing river filled with clean water rushing towards other village through valleys. I certainly couldn’t have enjoyed nature’s beauty in cities filled with pollution and population.
People are very simple and yet warm in nature. They didn’t treat me as a stranger. I was welcomed wholeheartedly by everyone. I found everyone in village helpful in nature. There are many poor, aged and single people living in this village. But no one has to beg as everyone gets shelter and food in some or the other house in the village. I am really overwhelmed by the nature of these villagers.

Sunday.
Dear Diary,
As you know that I was about to visit my friend Vishal in his village, I did visit him there and it was one of the most amazing feelings. His village is located in the district of Kolhapur, just a few hours ride from Mumbai. His village was incredibly beautiful and most of the people there are farmers. They are all very hardworking people but very humble and kind and good natured. All of them, along with Vishal were eager to show me their village. There is also an old fort in the village which was the ruins of the Maratha kingdom. It was nice meeting his family and extended family members. All of them were so nice to me. I wanted to stay there forever, but I had to return here. But I have promised them that I would be visiting them as soon as my next holiday starts.
