Dear Rohan,
Hello! How are you? I hope you must be doing well. I am also fine here. Today, I wanted to share my first experience in becoming a part of the medical camp organized by the Health Club of our school. The camp was organized in a remote village to offer free health-check to poor people.
The camp began from 9:00 AM onwards in which a huge number of villagers participated. About half a dozen physicians were present to examine the patients coming to the camp. They examined the patients and distributed free medicines to them.
I was very happy to volunteer in such a camp and interact with people but at the same time, I was extremely surprised that despite our country is considered as one of the fastest developing nations, the majority of people have no awareness regarding basic health and hygiene. Yet I tried to convey as much information on these issues to the villagers as possible and I really enjoyed doing it. I am happy that at least I got an opportunity to aware people about basic health care and how they should take care of themselves and their hygiene with frequent changes in the weather.
Even I got to know a lot about how sugar tests, blood pressure, x-rays, oxygen monitoring, etc. are done. Overall, it was a new yet learning experience. If you get an opportunity, you should also try it.
Yours lovingly.
Mrunal.
