You are asked to identify an old preserved permanent slide without a label, your teacher says it is a type of permanent tissue of the plant cell. In your effort to identify it, you place the slide under microscope and observed that they have spherical, thin and evenly thickened cell wall. The tissue is also seen to be colourful.

a) which is the permanent tissue given to you?
b) which is the stain used to color the plant cells in a temporary mount? Why is stain used in slide preparation.
