I was coming home for a short vacation.
Reached Mumbai early morning, completed my Visa formalities for return trip.
Then headed to catch up with a friend to spend rest of the day with.
We decided to go out for dinner and while returning we got into a road accident. Which resulted in a dislocated shoulder for my friend and bruises on my hands, knees & feet.
As my friend was taken to hospital with the help of his friend. I just took some anti-septic cream and bandaged myself. But I was still walking with difficulty. I planned next day as soon as I will reach my family, I will visit a clinic and get tetanus injection to avoid any infection.
Early morning I had this GoAir flight from Mumbai to Bangalore.
Reached Airport on time, completed check-in & security.
While I was in boarding hall, I heard GoAir flight to portblair was delayed/canceled. [this wasn’t my flight, but you will know how it effected me]
We were at boarding gate, incoming flight had arrived and people deplaned.
Now as we were at boarding gate, hoping to be boarding this flight anytime soon.
There was a gate change announcement for portblair flight. And soon followed announcement for canceling our flight.
After this what happened was a havoc.
As I was injured and limping, couldn’t make it to the front of crowd. I somehow managed to talk to an Airline rep (Mr. Gupta), but didn’t get appropriate reception from him. Finally I along-with last few people there got the last possible option. A flight late night. Mind I have spend good 6–7 hours to get this.
Not by their own will, but only after I cried for my condition I was given a hotel room. Where I took rest and Dinner.
Now came worst…
As I was waiting at Boarding hall for late night flight.
I checked in to O2 lounge at terminal.
I put my jacket on chair arm while I was serving myself. When boarding started I forgot my jacket over there.
After I landed in Bangalore, straight went to service desk, but no help. Called GVK lost and found help desk, only to hear they closes at 6PM and over weekend. And for my fate it was Friday night. Called O2 lounge, but no luck.
So my quite an expensive jacket was also gone.
Now few good things happened over this trip.
Just before putting my jacket in chair at lounge, I had this very expensive gift in jacket pocket. For my luck, I took that gift from jacket pocket and kept in pant pocket.
And after I reached Bangalore, I had this beautiful trip to Maysore & Ooty with my family.
