you are climbing a ladder which is slanted at an angle of 4545 in degrees anti clockwise direction with respect to the ground.the ladder leaning against the wall at a vertical distance to f 1 meter from ground.if you are at location which cuts the ladder in the ratio 2:12:1 from top to bottom,what are the co ordinates of your location? assume origin (0'0)(0'0) to be at intersection of ladder and the ground

Given : A Ladder which is slanted at an angle of 45° anti clockwise direction with respect to the ground leaning against the wall at a vertical distance of 1 meter from ground

you are at location which cuts the ladder in the ratio 2:1 rom top to bottom

origin (0, 0)  be at intersection of ladder and the ground

To Find : co ordinates of your location

Solution:

A Ladder which is slanted at an angle of 45° anti clockwise direction with respect to the ground

=> slope is tan45° = 1

origin (0 , 0)  is ladder intersection

Hence y = x  is equation of ladder

vertical distance to f 1 meter from ground => y = 1

Hence x = 1

Top point of Ladder is ( 1,1)

location cuts the ladder in the ratio 2:1 from top to bottom

Top  ( 1, 1 )  and bottom  (0 , 0)

Ratio 2 : 1

=> co ordinates of location =   ( 2 * 0 + 1 * 1)/(2 + 1 ) ,  ( 2 * 0 + 1 * 1)/(2 + 1 )

= 1/3 , 1/3

co ordinates of your location ( 1/3 , 1/3)
