Good morning Madam Principal, respected children and all my school mates.
Welcome to the techno savvy age we dwell in but at the same time spare a thought for all those people who have been deprived of their livelihood because of technology.
Every coin has two sides. Although technology has ushered in a series of comforts and luxuries at the same time thousands of people have lost their jobs because of technological feats like robots and computers.
As highlighted by Charles Dickens in his famous novel 'Hard Times' based on the hard reality of the Industrial Revolution, today the situation is even worse. Due to lack of jobs people have sought refuge in begging.
Unemployed youths having nothing better to do have started begging at all junctions and crowded places. Some have indulged in crime and petty theft. Whilst others have set on kidnapping .
I urge all present here to reduce our dependence on Technology and indulge in manual work so that the unemployed can get back their jobs.
Say no to grass mowers, vacuum cleaners, washing machines and other gadgets and say yes to gardeners, helping hands and cleaners .
If we do our bit the world will be a better place to live in.
