If we are are carrying a barometer along with you during journey then, height of Mercury level in barometer will gradually decrease during journey. (Option 3)

• The amount of air pressure decreases with the increasing altitude.

• So,in the high level hill station, the air pressure will be less as compared with the air pressure in the sea shore.

• And,we will face continuous pressure fall during the journey.

• Similarly,we know that the mercury level in the barometer decreases when the air pressure also decreases and that's why the mercury level keeps decreasing while going towards the high level hill station.
