DPS DURG, HOLDS FOURTEENTH ANNUAL SPORTS MEET
The Fourteenth Annual Sports Day of DPS, Durg was celebrated on 24th December, 2017 amidst great mirth, verve and camaraderie. Shri Amresh Kumar Mishra, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Bhilai-Durg Region, Capt. (Shri) Rudra Sen Sindhu, Chairman, Sindhu Education Foundation, New Delhi, Capt. (Shri) Abhimanyu Sindh, Hon’ble Finance Minister, Haryana, Ms. Ekta Sindhu, Director, Sindhu Education Foundation and Acharya Balkishan of the Patanjali Group were the Chief Guests in various phases of the Meet. Present on the occasion, were Dr. Himanshu Dwivedi, Managing Editor, Haribhoomi Group, Shri Vivek Varma, Pro-Vice Chairman, DPS Durg and Shri H. S. Batra, Member , Managing Committee, DPS Durg, Mr. Parshant Vashishta, Principal, DPS Bhilai, Mr. Anupal Sagar, Principal, DPS Durg, Members of the PTA, Press and Parents.

The Chief Guest was welcomed with bouquets. The Principal welcomed the guests and gathering formally and read a brief report of the school’s sports activities and the students’. This was entailed by the unfurling of the school flag and the declaration of the Meet open by the Chief Guest, marking the commencement of the ceremony, followed by the lighting of the flame by the school’s Sports Secretaries and balloons, to mark the expression of joy and rejoicement.
