You can convert iron strip to magnet by continuous rubbing it against the magnet.

◆ Procedure -

Take iron strip and bar magnet.

1. Start rubbing the iron strip with one pole of a bar magnet till end of the the iron strip.
2. Now lift the magnet and again rub it in the same direction as before.
3. Remember don't rub bar magnet against iron strip in to and fro motion.
4. Repeat the procedure 40-50 times till your iron gets magnetized.
5. Check whether iron turned to magnet by attracting iron fillings.
