Sikkim celebrates 73rd Independence Day in a grand manner
Sikkim also joined other states in celebrating the Independence Day. Unlike the other states, for Sikkim, it is the 40th Independence Day as the erstwhile Protectorate Kingdom of Namgyal dynasty, merged into the Indian Union in May1975 only.
