Sir,

Through this column of your newspaper, I want to draw the attention of your readers towards the benefits of tree plantation and how helpful trees are ours to keep our environment clean and healthy.

Do everyone knows that there is a continuous decline in the greenery of our planet and humans are destroying their own future by cutting the trees but not many of us are trying to save the trees. There are numerous benefits of trees like keeping the air clean, keeping the temperature of the earth in control, providing us with oxygen, home for various animals, etc. These benefits should not be overlooked and we should be thankful to mother nature for providing us with trees.

Hope this column in your newspaper will create awareness among the readers and people will think about the environment.

Yours truly

Dear Sir:

I am writing to your good self to express my views on benefits of tree plantation. Deforestation is the root cause behind increasing pollution, global warming, climate changes, floods, droughts, etc. We need not only to take quick measures for preventing deforestation of the forests, but also start mass tree plantation drives to save our planet.

Afforestation is the only panacea to the problems caused by global warming. Afforestation is the most efficient natural technique to minimize greenhouse effect. Trees will reduce the excess of carbon dioxide by processing it during the photosynthesis. Apart from this, trees will preserve wildlife, beautify and purify the surroundings, minimize soil erosion, stabilize climate, provide forest products for growing human population, construction, and infrastructure.

Through the columns of your esteemed daily I appeal to the Central Government, State Government, and all the NGO’s and common people to join hands and initiate mass afforestation campaigns promptly. Kindly give my views space in your reputed daily for the cause. Thanking you.

Yours truly,

Nikhil Goyal
