Television has a grossly ill affects in the minds if young children that is agreed by all. It pollute the minds of children with undesired wrong and useless ideas which is highly ruining their careers. It is far much beneficial to them  than social media but watching television for a long time and extensively  can be considered harmful for the eyes. It is a convenient way to keep them engaged  and reserved but watching television to a great  extent can destroy the thinking ability  and imagination ability of the kids.It is  also wise for the  parents not to  install the television set in their houses and replace it with a book shelf to make them knowledgeable.
