Naphthalene is insoluble in water while Ammonia Chloride is soluble in water this property can help us to separate the mixture of naphthalene and ammonium chloride.

1. take a beaker filled with water now add the mixture of naphthalene and ammonium chloride

2.ammonium chloride will dissolve in water since it is soluble .

3. Naphthalene can be obtained by filtering the solution by using a filter paper

5. After obtaining naphthalene, ammonium chloride can be obtained by evaporating the solution

6. the water will be evaporated and at the last the ammonium chloride will be left .
