hello
here's your answer !!

¤ The first thing that you should notice is that ammonium chloride is a sublimatory substance.

¤ iron fillings are magnetic in nature and hence can be attracted by a magnet.

¤ and last but not the least , salt is soluble in water.

so of you are provided with a mixture of Ammonium Chloride and iron fillings and sodium chloride , first thing you should do is to bring a magnet near the mixture.
THIS WILL ATTRACT OUT ALL THE IRON FILLINGS AND WILL SEPARATE OUT FROM THE MIXTURE.

the next thing you should do is to heat the mixture a little.
IN THIS PROCESS ALL THE AMMOMIUM CHLORIDE WILL SUBLIME INTOTHEIR GASEOUS FORM AND WILL SEPARATE OUT FROM THE MIXTURE.

after this pour water into the mixture because then all the salt in the mixture will get dissolved in the water and the sand will it be left.

Hope it helps !!
