Heat LosT By Hot water = heat gain by Cold water ;-

m \times s \:  \times heat \:  = (50 - m) \times s \times heat

where S is the specific heat of water

m \times (90 - 45) = (50 - m) \times s \times heat

45m = 25( 50-m)

45m + 25m = 1250

m= 17.85 kilograms

Heat LosT By Hot water = heat gain by Cold water ;-

m \times s \: \times heat \: = (50 - m) \times s \times heatm×s×heat=(50−m)×s×heat

where S is the specific heat of water

m \times (90 - 45) = (50 - m) \times s \times heatm×(90−45)=(50−m)×s×heat

45m = 25( 50-m)

45m + 25m = 1250

m= 17.85 kilograms
