Subject: Complaint against waterlogging.

Respected Editor,

I write this letter to you on behalf of all the people in our colony. The recent rains in Delhi have caused havoc in our area. There is a lot of water logging everywhere. Due to the stagnation of water, there is a chance that it might attract many insects for breeding especially mosquitoes which can cause many diseases like dengue etc. which are already on the rise. Also, many snakes have been sighted in the stagnant waters.

We have launched complaints with the municipal authorities but there has been no help from them.

Kindly consider our request and help us in overcoming this problem. We hope this letter helps in bringing the municipal authorities to do their duty in our area.

Thanking you,

Sumit.

Subject: Water Logging and Mosquito Breeding

Sir:

I am writing to you to express my deep concern and anguish over the very critical issue of insanitary condition in Patparganj caused by watter logging after the rains. Our locality is a literal hell of squalor, garbage heaps, broken roads, overflowing manholes, stagnated water, and reeking smell.  As a result malaria, dengue, Chikanguniya, and viral fever are quite rampant at the outset of the autumn season.

The inefficiency of Municipal authorities is so hopeless; in spite of repeated requests, reminders and complaints, no action has been taken to relive us of our distress. Through the medium of your esteemed daily I appeal to the concerned authorities to look into the matter and take speedy measures to bail us out of our plight. I also appeal to the people not to take any fever lightly. Dengue is accompanied by constant high fever, body ache, shivering, and incessant restlessness.  In case of the above mentioned symptoms, the qualified doctor must be consulted. People must keep their bodies fully covered and must not allow any stagnation of water. I hope you will give my views some space in your reputed daily. Thanking you.

Yours truly,

Sumit
