Dearest Kanika

• Hope this letter reaches you in good health and spirit. How are everybody at home? How is school life. Anything interesting taking place?:-)). Recently in my school we celebrated the annual day function, which is s one of the greatest events of my school
• This took place in the main auditorium of my school. As the Chief Guest, the Mayor of the city was invited. The venue for the event was cleaned and decorated with flower pots, balloons with colourful bands, etc.
• The Chief Guest arrived at 6.00 p.m. He was warmly welcomed by the School Management , the Principal and other staff members at the gate. he NCC cadets, then presented the Chief Guest with the guard of honour. He was escorted to the venue by the Principal, followed by the Head Girl, the Head boy and the Scouts.
• The function started with a Saraswati Puja  (Vandana). The President garlanded the Chief Guest and delivered cultural items. The students had a couple of songs and dance pieces. There were short plays in Hindi, Tamil and English and they were all so good, that I simply loved each one of it.  Everybody loved the multi-state dance of senior students. The western dance was performed and enjoyed by young students.
• The school principal read the school's annual report after these things. hen the District Magistrate delivered his speech. He commended the success of the school. After that, the Chief Guest gave away the prizes. I won three prizes, one for coming first in the Debate  Competition, second prize for Quiz Competition and another for standing first in the class. Finally the event concluded with the vice Principal thanking the Chief Guest and other guests. The function came to an end with us singing the National Anthem
