(Date), (School's name),(Place): It was the annual Literary Fest of our school held from 6th to 12th August. Every year the fest is organised to bring together the writers and readers of our school together to establish a care-free literary atmosphere. This year, as usual, there were various events to make the fest more interesting. The students were requested to write spontaneously.Firstly, the writers who have put their names in the list were requested to come to the stage to read out their microtales one by one. Next, the poets read out their poems.

After that, our judges, Ms. Mala Roy (the writer of the famous book "Arundhati") and Mr. Ashutosh Shil (the editor of the "Daily Times" newspaper) decided and announced the winners. There were various mini games that were solely related to literature of the world. Finally, a debate was held. Two teams of 5 members each were debating against each other. The fest was surely a success and it influence th young writers too.

Inauguration Of English Literary Association English Literary Association was inaugurated in the Fathima Hall of St. Joseph’s convent on 19th June, 2019. Mrs. Thomas, the Choir Mistress led the choir to sing a prayer song. Sister Joan, Principal lighted the traditional lamp along with the Head of the English Department Mrs. Judy Enoch, the School Pupil Leader Beverley Shunker and the Secretary of the English Literary Association Vinnie Varghese. The Secretary welcomed the gathering and highlighted the aims and objectives of the association. Sr.Joan advised the students to improve their communicative skills in English and motivated the students to refrain from using vernacular language in the school campus. The Special Guest for the inaugural ceremony was Mrs. Swamamala, a noted journalist. She was felicitated with a shawl and memento by the Vice Principal Mrs.Shyla Augustine. The keynote address by the special guest insisted in learning English as the universal and official language for communication in any country. The vote of thanks was given by Shanthini, a student of Std X.
