Dear Diary,
It is the start of the week. I am very much excited. I am
going to spend the entire week with my cousin, Alok. Today morning, we went to visit the Flower
Exhibition. It was very interesting. Alok had suggested the idea of going to the exhibition. It was an
annual exhibition for professionals in floriculture and landscape design. It was a comprehensive
business platform covering all sectors of floriculture and flower business. The exhibition
displayed a wide variety of exotic flowers. It also exhibited various flower species including hybrids. It
was one of the country’s greatest flower show including events like Summer Garden Competition,
Foliage Plants Show, Home Growing Competition, etc. The vibrant colours were totally out of
this world. I look forward to attend more of such exhibitions in future.

What is Ailing Indian Sport’
Don’t you think that it is a matter of shame that India,
which is the second most populated country of the world could win only a single gold and a couple of
bronze medals, whereas small nations like Korea and Japan are faring much better. If we look
deeply into the matter, we will find that we ourselves are to be blamed for it.
We have a poor infrastructure, so where do the athletes go
for practise ? Along with this, we find that sports is considered to be a poor career choice. There
is no security that a person will become successful. Coupled with this, we find that those who are
really interested in sports, don’t stand a chance of shining due to the dirty politics being played.
Politicians want to support their own candidates rather than the deserving ones.
There is also a lack of good coaches, in addition to it we
have a poor, unsystematic and mismanaged approach towards sports.
We can, thus, see that much ails Indian sports but if we all
make a joint approach, I’m sure we will be able to surmount these problems and make the country
proud of our sports persons.
Thanking you.
