A refuge. Sports for me is a refuge from all the things happening in this unforgivable world. especially basketball, when in the match, all that matter is dribbling the ball, passing the ball, throwing that ball into the basket and breathing. its simple but euphoric. Especially when you win a match and when you are the reason for that win. The sound of everyone chanting your name echoes in your ears and leaves a indelible mark on your heart and the satisfaction it brings to me helps me sleep at night. if there is one single match that we lost to the opponent team or if our performance wasn't to our best of abilities, the satisfaction inside of me is replaced by a critic, who forces me to watch the video of that match on replay, mark all the imperfections and work on them. i live for that satisfaction that washes over me in waves and staying away from supports is worse than hell for me and so i have decided of pursuing basketball in the upcoming years and playing professionally, representing my country.
