Good morning everyone present here. I am going to expatiate on ‘Geeta and Babita: Epitomes of Women Empowerment ’. Gone are the days when women were synonymous with frailty. The famous Shakespearean phrase ‘Frailty, thy name is woman’ is no longer relevant in modern times.
The modern era is the era of women empowerment. Women are perfectly suitable for any sphere of action --- sport, adventure, exploration, and any field. Women have already proved their mettle all spheres. Space exploration, research and development, science and medicine, politics, financing, management, education, and whatnot, women have set higher standards than man.
Geeta and Babita are two names that have brought laurels to the nation by winning medals in wrestling in Commonwealth Games. They have filled Indian women with new confidence and vigor. The biopic ‘Dangal’ beautiful depicts the story of their struggle and achievements. They are the role models of millions of women in India.
They have taught us, the girls and women that we can do, be and have anything that we desire and set our eyes on. The nation is proud of these two hardworking women.
