Dear Diary,
I must tell you of an amazingly surprising incident today. Father had just gone to office when the car mechanic came with his car. Father had sent it to the garage for some repair work. The mechanic asked me where to park the car.
Grabbing the opportunity of driving my father's Audi, I took the keys and asked him to leave.
Like a grand hero I boarded the car, switched on the ignition along with the music system and like a regal prince sped off. I was so much engrossed in my newly found luxury that I did not notice my neighbour’s parked car . I jammed against it and dented its back. Horrified I fled from that place leaving the car behind.
I anxiously waited for the evening when father would be back. I knew my neighbour must have had informed my father.
Finally the much feared moment arrived. I heard my father enter. Instead of sitting in the living room as he usually did for his cup of tea I heard his footsteps climb up the stairs towards my room.
My heart missed a skip and I froze in fear when the door banged open with my father barging through it. I was all prepared to receive some heavy blows so I shut my eyes. But instead I felt my father's hand on my shoulder and he said, "Do not repeat such". He informed me that he had paid a compensation of Rs.5000.
I was amazed. What a tremendous surprise! I thought I should share this lifetime experience with you.
