Dear Diary,

Yesterday I had gone to my friends house and taken my favourite pen with me. I kept it on a table. After leaving, I recalled that I had not taken the pen. I immediately went back and checked the whole house for my pen. But I could not find it.

The pen was special because my dad had gifted it to me on my 10th birthday. It was very beautiful. I feel very guilty on losing the pen and I don't know how to break it to my dad.

My father appreciates straightforwardness. So I plan on telling him directly. I will go up to him and tell him the truth. I hope my plan does not backfire.
