Subject :- An amazing weekend I had!!!

Aayush,

How have you been? How is hostel life treating you? It has been over a month since we last talked over the phone. I hope your exams went well. I have to tell you about our new neighbours who have just moved in next door!

Do you remember that old mansion across our main street, just next to the grocery store? A small family has shifted there recently, two weeks ago. there is a middle-aged couple and their only son, who is of our age. So, last Sunday, we were invited for their house-warming ceremony, and that is where I got acquainted with them, the Gangulys. Coincidentally, the Mr. Ganguly works in the same company as my father, and Mrs. Ganguly was my mother's classmate in middle school! So, the elders decided to go on a trip to Science City with the two families, and we went there yesterday, We had a great time there. Mr and Mrs Ganguly are such good people! They have relocated from Indore to Kolkata so that their son, Anirban, can pursue his career in Science and research. Anirban is really nice, courteous, and very humourous. He cracked hilarious jokes all the way; and, it turns out that he is a better badminton player than you! In fact, your hobbies are the same as Anirban's. I think you both should meet some time soon.

When are you coming to Kolkata? Let me know ahead so that I can make plans and arrangements for the three of us to go out on a luncheon soon!

With love,

Nina

Subject: Wonderful weekend experience

Dear Keshav:

I hope this mail finds you in good fettle. I am writing to share with you my fun-filled weekend I had. My neighbor and friend went to a nearby hil station.

The drive was a real treat to the eyes. On either side of the serpentine road breathtaking vistas of unmatched sylvan beauty soothed not only the eyes, but the restive soul also. Deep dells, with pure verdant slopes; idyllic, pastoral human settlements, glimpses of the far off white sheep grazing on the slopes of the mountains under the canopy of azure sky are the enthralling views one gets as a gift for coming to this paradise. I did not want the drive to end. As we neared Shimla, the mountains became taller and taller. The peace, tranquility, and spledour of Shimla and its surroundings were supernal.

We had intentionally got a hotel booked at a place where the nature was abundant. From the room window, the distant snow clad white mountains gave the illusion as if we are in a different world. At night we went on foot to the Mall road for dinner. First time in my life I saw the magnificence of the night sky. I did not know there were so many stars in the sky. For, in the city the pollution hides this glory of the sky from the human eye. We were fully refreshed by our short stay in the mounatins. I will always cherish the sweet memories of this excursion. That’s all for now.

Warmest regards,

Samir
