You have already sprouted some seeds- Sprouting is same as Germination. Let us now see what conditions are necessary for germination. Put some cotton in four dishes. Keep 3-4 bean seeds in each dish. Keep the dishes as follows: Dish A: Wet the cotton; keep adding water if it dries; keep in the warm place such as the kitchen. Dish B: Wet the cotton; keep adding water if it dries; keep in the cold place such as a refrigerator. Dish C: Do not wet the cotton; keep in the warm place. Dish D: Put enough water to cover the seeds. Keep in a warm place. In which of the above dishes do the seeds start germinating? What do you think are the conditions necessary for germination?
