You have been provided with three test tubes. One of them contains distilled water and the other two contain an acidic solution and a basic solution, respectively. If you are given only red litmus paper, how will you identify the contents of each test tube?

1) dip the red litmus paper one by one in the 3 test tubes.

the test tube which turns red litmus blue is Basic solution

2) Now out of the remaining 2, the one which turns the 'blue part' of the red litmus paper back to red, is Acidic Solution

3) Hence, the remaining test tube is distilled water which is neutral

a few drop of red litmus is added to each test tube . the red colour will turn light in the water containing . water will turn blue in the basic and dark red in the acid containing test. i hope it is helpful . pls mark me as brainlist
