Dear Diary,

Today I had a very nice time in school. My english teacher asked us to write an essay. I wrote an essay about my pet. She praised my work and asked me to read out the essay to the class. Everyone clapped for me.

In the maths period I was able to answer all the questions. All my classmates were surprised to see me do  all the sums correctly. My music teacher was very impressed when I sang a new song that I have learnt. She went and told all the teachers in the staff room. So during break time the teachers called me to the staff room and asked me to sing. They appreciated my song.

I am so happy. It has been a special day for me.

You could possibly start off with how you felt today when you entered the school - was it positive, negative, were you happy, sad? You could then talk of the subjects that were taught, maybe time on the field. You could mention maybe some special talk that you had or what was discussed in the daily assembly. Also mention about the time that you spent with your friends. Lastly, how it felt at the end of the day.
