The Vigilance Awareness Week, 2017 was observed with a host of activities by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation this year from 30th October till 4th November, 2017.
After the culmination of the week, the formal closing ceremony was held today in the presence of DMRC’s Managing Director, Dr. Mangu Singh and other senior officials. In his address to the employees, Dr. Singh said, “Over the years, Delhi Metro has evolved as a model organization with its unique work culture and is respected all over the country for its transparency and integrity. It is our collective responsibility to ensure transparency in all spheres of our activity.”
The theme of this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week was, “My Vision – Corruption Free India”. During the week, various activities such as essay and slogan writing competitions, lectures by eminent personalities, film screenings etc were organised to sensitise the employees about the importance of the fight against corruption. A commemorative newsletter was brought out on the occasion.
The highlight of the week was a series of Nukkad Nataks performed by a specialised agency which raised many pertinent issues about corruption. The play was performed in some schools and colleges also besides the offices of DMRC. An inhouse play was also performed on the occasion today.
