Pochampally is approximately one hundred kilometers from my school. That morning our teacher of history prepared us for the visit to Pochampally, I together with my class members were delighted to board the Indiana train for the first time on a school trip. Our journey to Pochampally took roughly one hour and there we arrived.

We alighted from the train and immediately started interacting with the weavers who told us that Pochampally has got over seventy villages that are over centuries old with traditional looms. We visited five stalls and found a variety of products ranging from woven carpets and other handloom products that fetch good revenues.
