North east is connected to the rest of the country by a narrow stretch of land between Bhutan and Bangladesh, and surrounded by extremely sensitive frontier with Chinese-occupied Tibet and a 1600 km long border with Myanmar.

It is a land of undulating hills and plains with luxuriant green cover and a wide variety or rare and exotic flora and fauna. Each of this state is more beautiful than the other, each with its own cultural and beliefs, each having its own charm. Because of the regions inaccessibility from the rest of world, it has been lucky enough to maintain most of its natural diversity and have been untouched from the modernization.

Every year thousand of children from these states travel to all over the country for higher education and Delhi university in the capital state of the country is one of the favorite spot for it.
