(i) The family life cycle is a series of stages through which a family may pass over time. Typical stages in family development include the periods of a single young adult, a newly married couple, a family with young children, a family with adolescents, launching the children, and a family in later life.

(ii)Healthy relationships between family members means that your child feels loved, safe, secure and supported as they grow into independent adults.

Being loving, caring and respectful.

Being warm, supportive and positive.

Communicating when disagreements occur.

Spending time doing things together to build strong bonds.

(iii) It's better to spend time with demons you know than angels you don't.

Keep away from fake people, no matter how shiny they look.

Let the fake people go and keep the few who cry with you.

Fake people will do anything to drag you below them.

It's better to have one true friend than many who will dump you.

(vi)Values are important also because they provide a foundation as a source of protection, guidance, affection, and support. Instilling family values can protect and guide children against making hurtful decisions in the future as they teach a sense of right and wrong.
