Answer:

Jo was a bold, friendly and warm person. She had an outspoken personality which suited well with her tom boyish likes for dressing up and appearance. Jo had tried her best to keep her independence intact yet she seems to loose it when she ends up marrying Professor Bhaer.

She had a social standing of a person who was unusual as a character for the 19th Century. Even though she countered the basic and local traditions, she was likable due to her nature.

Explanation:

The above mentioned character sketch is that of the character Jo from the story little women.

Explanation:

Jo was a bold, friendly and warm person. She was large-hearted and was the first to extend a hand of support to any person in need. So, it wasn’t a surprise that she went all out to help Jim.  Jim, a lad of about fifteen years lost his mother, the only family he had. He wasn’t able to continue his studies and was planning to drop out of school and find some work.

He heard that a lady called Jo needed a gardener to tend to her garden as she was disabled due to an accident. He met her and asked for work.

On hearing that, Jim wanted to drop out of school, Jo advised him not to. She said she’d pay his tuition fee and in return, he could tend to her garden during his spare time. She asked him to stay in the unoccupied room upstairs.  Jim stayed there and continued his studies.

Being a very bright boy, he graduated with a first-class and went on to head his company in later years. Jo’s children left home to carry on with their lives, but Jim continued to stay with Jo and supported her till her last. Jim always thought of Jo as his foster mother whom he owed his entire life.
