Dear Diary,
Today a very mean trick was played on me by my best friend. You know how I always win the 200m every year in school athletics. Today I lost it !! My friend Anushka, who always comes second, planned with another friend and put a small lizard in my dress. As soon as I the race started, the lizard moved up my back and I felt a tickle. I ignored it but when the tickling continued I was scared and stopped to check. The lizard came out of my dress down my legs and I got the scare of my life!!! I started screaming and jumping up and down and by then the race got over and Anushka came first. She started laughing at me and later I got to know that she tricked me along with another friend. I felt very bad and cried a lot. My dad said that if people cheat and win, then they will learn their lesson the hard way in life.
I will try to move on and work hard and beat her next year. Good night. Got to sleep now.

Dear Diary:
I am very upset today. My own friend cheated me. Both of us had taken part in inter-house athletics competition. I had already won 2 gold medals in 400 hundred and 200 hundred meters races respectively. Now, the relay race was to be won. I had to run for the last lap. My friend was my opponent in this race. When my turn came to take over the baton from my preceding partner, my friend in the other lane, diverted my attention by pointing something on the track. My focus was disturbed and I dropped the baton; as soon as I picked up the baton, my friend took advantage of my distraction and gained a huge lead from me. Thus she won the relay race for her house with me lagging behind for the second position. I am very upset that my close friend could cheat me for a mere gold medal. That’s all. Good night.
