A cell is single unit that converts chemical energy to electrical energy. A battery is nothing much its just a collection of cell. We all have seen car battery not a cell, because a single cell doesn't has enough potential to run the car so the battery is used in the cars

Explanation:
- The basic difference between "a cell and a battery" is the number of units acting.
- A cell can be said to be a single unit where certain chemicals are mixed to react with each other and convert this energy of chemicals into electrical energy while a battery on the other hand is a much bigger unit as it more than one cell collected together to produce larger amounts of electrical energy thus making it just a larger cell.
- Hence car battery is not called a 'cell' because it has more than one unit of cell that makes it a battery.
