The owner of the group is responsible for approving requests from owners to join a group. He/she can set up a group such that the joining request needs his/her approval. When this request is sent, the owner receives it and either approves or declines the request. Either way, the person who sent the request is notified about the same. If the request is approved, the person who sent the request is automatically joined to the group. If it is a declination, the person gets only the appropriate notification.
