Hey there,

Following are the two characteristics of cotton fibre;

They are excellent absorbents of ink.

They are the best quality of cloth to be worn.

Process of block printing;

First draw a design on the wooden block. If they are letters, make sure to write them inversely.

Carve the design on the wooden block with the help of different cutters and knives according to the need of the design.

Take the paint of choice, must be good quality. Spread is on glass and use a roller to create a thin layer of the paint.

Use the roller to cover the carved design with equal thin layer of paint.

Invert the painted wooden design on the cotton fiber and apply equal pressure on the entire block for even coverage of paint.

Keep it to dry. The paint usually take several days to dry off.

I hope the answer is helpful.

Thanks for asking.
