YOU WILL NEED: 1. A Plant Pot
2. Cotton Wool
3. Pebbles
4. Charcoal
5. A glass
6. Muddy Water
PROCEDURE:
1. Take the Plant Pot and plug the hole at the bottom with cotton wool.
2. Put a layer of small clean pebbles at the bottom
3. Wash some fine sand and make a thick layer above the pebbles.
4. Grind some charcoal into paste and pour it evenly on the sand.
5. Pour some muddy Water on the layer of Charcoal.
6. Collect The Clean Water in a Glass placed below the pot.

Ans 1. This method of water purification will be effective only up to a certain extent. The filter may give transparent water but it will still contain lot of contaminants.
Ans 2. The collected water can be used for watering plants, gardening, washing vessels and clothes, and for other cleaning purposes. It cannot be used for consumption.
