yougurt contains living bacteria. Bacteria are also capable of respiring anaerobically. If a sealed carton of yougurt is left for a long time, the lid bludges upwards. suggest why this happens

If a sealed carton of yoghurt is left for a long time, the lid bulges upwards. Yogurt contains a very large amount of lactic acid which was produced when the lactose (milk sugar) was acted upon by the lactobacillus and other pro-biotics. they are aerobic (like oxygen).
