Young's Modulus (Y) is defined as the ratio of linear stress of a body to linear strain.

\mathrm{Young's\ Modulus=\dfrac {Linear\ Stress}{Linear\ Strain}}\\\\\\Y=\dfrac {F}{A}\div\dfrac {\Delta L}{L}\\\\\\Y=\dfrac {FL}{A\Delta L}

where,

F = Deforming Force

A = Cross Sectional Area of the Body

L = Length of the body

∆L = Change in length / Extension
