Dear Kavya,
I hope you are well. I recently heard that you have not been attending the school because of sickness. An Inter-school drama competition took place during that period.
Luckily, I too had been selected to play a part in it. The play was Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth. Almost half of the class participated in the play. The students left no stone unturned for giving their best. Frankly saying, the preparation was more interesting than the actual competition.
Th competition took place on 8th of June in our auditorium. The programme was presided over by Dr Urvashi Sahni, the CEO of the Study Hall Foundation. The Principal, in her opening address brought out the importance of dramatics in the overall development of children.
At last, all the performances were of a high standard and were highly appreciated. The winning performance was of Class X 'B'. But our class too enjoyed the 2nd position. Akshita Singh of our class was adjudged the best actor.
The overall programme was great. I feel sad for you for not being able to attend it. Kindly write to me whenever possible. Convey my regards to uncle and aunt.
