Steps to tackle bullying:
- Narrate the entire incident to a parent or guardian. They have the power to get in touch with the school staff to report this incident and take action against it.
- Reporting these events to school can help the bully to stop the fear of strict actions to be taken against him/her. Teachers help you to protect against these bullies.
- Join peer counseling programs. Talk openly about it to someone. This may bring a bit of relief to us. It makes us feel heard and assures us that we are not alone in this fight against bullying.
- Speak up. Bullying is wrong and there might be many others going through the same. Be confident, hold your head high, and speak up bravely against it. This gives confidence to other victims to speak up as well.
