Subject: Regarding the lack of dustbins in my locality.
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to express my serious concerns on the lack of dustbins.
Due to the lack of dustbins, our locality is in a pathetic condition. Waste is thrown by the people on the sides of the roads as there is just one dustbin provided by the municipality which cannot hold all the waste. Due to the waste lying in the open, many kids who go outside to play are getting sick. Diseases are spreading in my locality. Also, the one dustbin they provided is itself in a very bad condition. It has cracked on all the sides and the waste starts to leak. This also causes a very unpleasant smell.
Our regular complaints to the authorities have failed to bring any change. It is high time that the concerned authorities take action. I shall be highly obliged to you for publishing my letter in your widely circulated newspaper.
