Hi...
actually moon have very less magnetic field as compare to earth .
so our compass is not work very well on moon.
because due to strength of magnetic field is very well that why our magnetic field dont show sufficient deflection .
Even if you had a sufficiently sensitive compass to measure the magnetic field, the way that the magnetic field on the moon is distributed would not lead you in a consistent direction.so it is very difficult to use compass on moon
