So N = Normal force = M*a = 0.4kg * 10 = 4N
So book exerts 4N force on table table exerts same on the book due to third law of motion .
As there is nothing given about the table we take it negligible so the force exerted by book on Earth is 4N and force exerted by Earth on book is also 4N due to 3rd law of motion.
3rd law of motion = Equal and opposite force applies between two bodies in contact .
