Let, the first root if the equation be y then second root will be 1/y

As we know that, multiplication of roots = c/a

From the equation : a = (k-1), b = -10 and c = 3

According to the question :

$y \times \frac{1}{y} = \frac{3}{(k - 1)} \\ \\ = > 1 = \frac{3}{k - 1} \\ \\ = > k - 1 = 3 \\ \\ = > k = 4$
