 \frac{z}{2} + \frac{z}{3} - \frac{z}{6} = 8 \\ = > \frac{3z + 2z - z}{6} = \frac{48}{6} \\ = > 5z - z = 48 \\ = > 4z = 48 \\ = > z = \frac{48}{4} \\ = > z = 12


 \textbf{Answer :} 12

In the  \textbf{first step} you may had a confusion.

Here, we have to make the dinominators equal of both LHS and RHS.

Then we can directly cancel 6 as dinominators from LHS and RHS.
