Cost price = ₹7000
his gain = 10%
gain = 10/100 × 7000 = ₹700
Selling price, SP = CP + gain = 7000+700 = ₹7700
This SP is after giving 12% discount on Marked price.
Discount = 12% of MP = 12/100 × MP = 0.12MP
MP = SP + discount
=> MP = 7700 + 0.12 MP
=> MP - 0.12MP = 7700
=> 0.88MP = 7700
=> MP = 7700/0.88 = ₹8750
Hence marked price of the article is ₹8750.
his gain = 10%
gain = 10/100 × 7000 = ₹700
Selling price, SP = CP + gain = 7000+700 = ₹7700
This SP is after giving 12% discount on Marked price.
Discount = 12% of MP = 12/100 × MP = 0.12MP
MP = SP + discount
=> MP = 7700 + 0.12 MP
=> MP - 0.12MP = 7700
=> 0.88MP = 7700
=> MP = 7700/0.88 = ₹8750
Hence marked price of the article is ₹8750.
